What joint pain is
Joint pain is one of the most common complaints there is. It often shows up as a dull ache that lingers for weeks and worsens when the joint is loaded, with the area becoming swollen and warm to the touch.
In younger people it usually follows a sports injury or a fall. In older adults it is more often degenerative — the slow wearing-down of the cartilage that cushions the joint.
Why joints hurt
A healthy joint is clean, smooth, lubricated and free-moving. Pain begins when that system breaks down.
- Osteoarthritis — the gradual breakdown of cartilage
- Rheumatoid and psoriatic arthritis — inflammatory joint disease
- Gout and other metabolic conditions
- Injuries, falls and overuse
As inflammation or damage sets in, the joint loses its smooth glide. Cartilage thins, harmful by-products build up, and in time bone meets bone — driving stiffness and pain. Whether inflammatory or degenerative, joint pain can deeply affect your quality of life.
Supporting your joints
Joint care works on two fronts: soothing the pain you feel now, and nourishing the joint for the years ahead.
- Support your joints from within with a targeted supplement of glucosamine, chondroitin, MSM and collagen
- Massage a warming balm into stiff, aching joints for day-to-day topical relief
- Keep moving with low-impact activity to maintain mobility
- Maintain a healthy weight to reduce load on the joints
Our recommendation: Alpen Flex — Alpen Flex is built for the long game — glucosamine, chondroitin, MSM, collagen, hyaluronic acid and Alpine botanicals in one German-made formula that nourishes cartilage and supports lasting joint health.
